Robert Snodgrass hopes his goal against Denmark will earn him another chance to pull on the national shirt Robert Snodgrass is confident that the quality Scotland can take to Hampden will be enough to overcome the Czech Republic and move closer to reaching the EURO2012 finals. Both sides know that Spain will take the number one spot in Group I and are chasing the number two slot to get to the play-offs. There are five points difference between the sides ahead of the game with the Czechs having the advantage of nine points over Scotland's four. Scotland do have a game in hand so the three points available today are vital to be secured by the home side. Craig Levein's men are boosted by recent performances, including last month's friendly win over Denmark, and Snodgrass sees no reason why they cannot claim maximum points. He said: "It's a massive occasion for Scottish football. It's a chance for us to push on in the pecking order. It will be a tough game against the Czech Republic but we've got the quality in the squad to produce something." Snodgrass is hoping to be named in the starting 11 to earn his fourth cap after he made a name for himself when he scored the winner against Denmark when he made his first start. He added: "It was just about biding my time and keeping doing well for my club. If you get the call - great. The gaffer has given me a chance here, which I fully appreciate." Meanwhile, West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans is looking forward to the experience of being welcomed by a full house at Hampden. He said: "It will be a massive game. I've not been involved in a 3pm kick-off yet but a few of the lads have told me that the atmosphere is incredible. Hopefully it will be just as good as they say it will be."
