Rhodes to play lone role

Scotland manager Craig Levein has named his team to play Australia in Wednesday night's friendly at Easter Road with Jordan Rhodes leading the line in what looks like a 4-5-1 formation.

Rhodes, the 22-year-old Huddersfield Town striker, will make his first start in dark blue as the Scots look for a win in their final warm-up game before the 2014 World Cup qualifiers start next month with a double-header against Serbia and Macedonia at Hampden.

Scotland team: Allan McGregor, Alan Hutton, Andy Webster, Christophe Berra, Danny Fox, Robert Snodgrass, Gary Caldwell, james Morrison, Charlie Adam, Jordan Rhodes, Steven Naismith.
