Raith Hope To Outgrow Santa

05 December 2012 12:45
December has some people thinking of those less fortunate then themselves.

Another chance to remain lazy and support a good cause. Just after Movember ended First Division Raith Rovers fans and players are storing the razors away for Decembeard  to let all their facial hair grow for charity. Over the last two Decembers Stark’s Park fans have raised £4,000 that has been split between the club and the local Maggie’s Centre for cancer by starting the month clean shaven and then growing a beard throughout the entire month. Defender Laurie Ellis, who grew a moustache for Movember, will front the campaign with a number of team-mates joining him in seeing just how hirsute they can be be the end of the year putting away the razor.  A club spokesperson said: "Sponsorship forms can be obtained from the club office and the more people on board, the more money we can raise so we are asking our fans to ditch the razor and join Decembeard."
