Queens' Park Ready For Their Close Up

Scotland played a big part in establishing football and FIFA recognise the clubs involved FIFA’s weekly TV programme ‘Football Mundial’ shown on SKY Sports last night included a section dedicated to the pioneers of Scottish football,  Queen’s Park. A film crew spent the weekend with the Hampden based Third Division amateurs, formed in 1867, recently which co-incided with in their 3-3 draw with Stranraer as well as looking at their Youth and Community work. The Spiders' coach Gardner Speirs, several players and backroom staff as well as committee members were interviewed and all waited anxiously to find out if they were left on the cutting room floor or were included in the final cut. Speirs said: "Queen’s Park have a long, unique and proud history in football and it is great that FIFA have recognised it by including us in their programme."
