Queen's Park Promotion Hopes Hit

Club captain Richard Sinclair will have to lead from the sidelines for a while. Queen’s Park’s captain Richard Sinclair has broken a bone in his foot so will be out of action for the foreseeable future. This will not help the Hampden side's plans to force themselves into contention for a play-off place this season. The injury was picked up in a challenge by Stranraer’s Keith Nicoll early on during the Stair Park side’s 5-2 win at the National Stadium and Sinclair was taken to hospital before the final whistle had sounded. Sinclair was back at hospital on Tuesday to have a plaster fitted. Queen's Park Head Coach Gardner Speirs said: "It is a huge blow for Richard and for ourselves as he is an important figure for us on and off the park. Hopefully he will be about the club encouraging the players again soon, however his presence on the pitch will be missed."
