Pursehouse Enjoying First Team Involvement

Oh to be young and playing in the first team Danny Buijs has joined Ryan O'Leary and David da Silva on Kilmarnock's injured list ahead of the home game against Dunfermline. The Dutchman misses out with a hamstring injury while new re-signing, Mohamadou Sissoko, back on loan from Udinese, is not yet ready to be involved. However, Paul Heffernan is back in contention after recovering from a calf problem. Youngster Alex Pursehouse revealed he has been dreaming of first-team football since making his debut at home against Celtic at the end of last season. The former Tranmere youth player came on as a second-half substitute and held his own in that game despite the 2-0 defeat. Pursehouse has been on the fringes this season but with Buijs out, he is set to make his first start against the Pars. When looking back at his debut, he said: "It was unbelievable, different class. You don't expect to be playing against Celtic and players you only see on television, but I was and it was a dream come true. I had butterflies and all sorts of emotions while I warmed up but I just wanted to get on to the pitch. It seemed a bit of a blur because I was so hyped up. But it was a really good experience. I thought I did all right and hopefully there will be many more games to show the gaffer and the Kilmarnock fans what I can do.''
