Premiership Or Peterhead? It's No Contests

There is no substitute for working with players once you have been so closely involved.

Fancy changing working for a Premiership side to being in charge of for Peterhead? You will not be the only one as former Alloa number two James Ward is hoping his application for the vacant managers job at Balmoor will be successful. Ward has been filling his time since leaving Recreation Park in the summer along with manager Allan Maitland by checking out Scottish players for the Craven Cottage side. However, like most assistants, he is keen to take on a managers job and be working with players. Ward said: "I am enjoying what I am doing for Fulham but you cannot beat working with players on a regular basis. I have my UEFA ‘A’ Coaching Licence but want to build on that to get the top Licence of the Pro Award and the best way you can do that is by being involved in a team. Peterhead is a great opportunity and I would welcome the challenge of working with the players and getting the club moving up the way in the Third Division."
