Partick Keen To Bounce Back In Alba Cup
Ayr United could do a giant killing job on Partick. First Division Partick Thistle take on Second Division Ayr United in the Alba Challenge Cup with a number of players posted missing. Defender Bobby Donnelly is out through injury and, although the former is free of suspension, illness has kept Dean Keenan and Alan Trouten away from training this week which makes both players major doubts. Somerset Park manager Brian Reid has told his players to be wary as Partick will be looking for someone to pay for last week's defeat to Cowdenbeath. He said: "This was always going to be a tough game and it will even be harder now as Thistle will be looking to bounce back after losing last weekend.''
