Pars Want To Keep Pressure On Raith

Injury worries for the Pars Dunfermline are having a think about how to cope without five players when Morton visit East End Park today. Steven Bell, Andy Dowie, Neil McGregor and Nicky Phinn are all ruled out and on-loan St Johnstone stopper Kevin Rutkiewicz will undergo a late fitness test.  Pars assistant boss Gerry McCabe said: "We are hopeful that Kevin will be available for selection but if he is not we will be along much the same lines as last week. I watched Morton in midweek and they gave a real threatening performance against Falkirk and looked the more likely side to score so we need to be on our guard. Michael Tidser was excellent throughout that game as was David O'Brien so Morton have players that can certainly create chances.''   PO TEAM P W D L F A GD Pts 1 Raith Rovers 24 13 6 5 34 19 15 45 2 Dunfermline 23 12 6 5 41 21 20 42 3 Falkirk 22 11 4 7 38 22 16 37 4 Queen of the South 21 8 5 8 34 30 4 29 5 Morton 24 7 8 9 23 25 -2 29 6 Partick 22 6 7 9 24 27 -3 25 7 Dundee 24 14 7 3 35 18 17 24 8 Ross County 23 3 11 9 14 24 -10 20 9 Cowdenbeath 22 5 4 13 24 49 -25 19 10 Stirling 23 3 6 14 20 52 -32 15 Morton's only absentee is midfielder Darren Young who will miss out due to a calf injury. Cappielow manager Allan Moore, who like Young is a former Dunfermline player, is looking forward to today's game. He said:"I am really looking forward to this game as the matches between the sides are usually good football contests. We won 2-1 at our place but I believed that we actually played better in the game we lost 2-0 at East End Park earlier in the season when Dunfermline showed us how to convert chances. We played another promotion chasing side Falkirk in midweek and could have won that one so we have nothing to fear in this game. We will plan to go out and attack them.''
