Pars Travel In Hope

Dunfermline have not been to Parkhead for four years and hope to have something to celebrate on the way home.

Dunfermline travel to Parkhead tonight hoping to continue their trend of winning on the road while Celtic will be keen to continue to erode the gap between themselves and the top of the SPL. While the Pars are in 10th place in the table they still hope to spring a surprise on their first visit to Celtic in four years after three away wins already this season.  Midfielder Paul Willis said: "It's a big challenge. We just want to try and go there and get something from the game. We've done all right - three 1-0 wins away from home - but at Parkhead it's going to be the toughest game of the season. We just want to go there, keep it as tight as possible and try and get a draw or sneak something. You never know. We want to go there, keep everything tight, get a chance and take it." The Pars will not be helped tonight by the fact that  defender Austin McCann has been added to their lengthy list of casualties. McCann has a hamstring injury and is out of contention for the game, while Andy Dowie's chances of making it are only rated at 50-50. Nick Phinn is not fit to take part despite returning to training this week, while Martin Hardie, Craig Easton, Jason Thomson, Kevin Rutkiewicz and Steven Bell are still out. Willis recognises the talent at Celtic's disposal and expects to be rather busy helping out the defence tonight. He went on: "(James) Forrest has been in great form. He's looked good, but Celtic have got a lot of good players going forward. We just need to try and stop them scoring goals."
