Dunfermline are trusting their old squad, well most of them, to survive in the SPL Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre has revealed that eight members of his title-winning squad have penned new deals. The Pars are looking forward to re-joining the SPL after a period of five years. They dominated Division One this season, finishing 10 points clear of local rivals Raith Rovers. McIntyre has persuaded leading scorer Andy Kirk as well as Steven McDougall, Andy Dowie, Nick Phinn, Chris Smith, Martin Hardie and Joe Cardle. Kevin Rutkiewicz, who spent the second half of the season on loan at East End Park, has also committed to a permanent deal after being released by St Johnstone. McIntyre said: "I am absolutely thrilled that we have come to an agreement with a group of players who I believe are good enough to compliment the SPL." The Pars manager has also offered a new deal to full-back Calum Woods, although he has been given time to follow up interest from clubs in England.
