Hibs are close to agreeing to extend one of their loan deals

Hibs are keen to hang onto the loan stars with deals for Leigh Griffiths (Wolves), Jorge Claros (Motagua) and Ryan McGivern (Manchester City) all about to run out. Easter Road manager Pat Fenlon looks as if he is close to agreeing a deal for McGivern to extend. McGivern joined Hibs last August and has impressed during his stay in Edinburgh. The left-back has made 15 appearances and has quickly established himself as a key member of the side. Fenlon  is in talks with City about extending his loan until the end of the season. City appear happy to let McGivern stay out on loan as he is well down the pecking order in Roberto Mancini's plans. McGivern has enjoyed his time at Easter Road and he is thought to have verbally agreed to stay on loan for the remainder of the season.
