Out of contract players are getting a game wherever they can in a bid to get a deal. It does not mean they will be signed Ross County manager Derek Adams is not about to sign former Motherwell winger Darren Smith just because the right sided player made a surprise appearance for the Dingwall men in a friendly against Highland League Side Clachnacuddin on Wednesday evening. Smith was among the scorers in the 5-0 win with all the goals coming in the second half with summer signings Atli Gregerson and Marc Corcoran making debuts. Adams did not use former Hibs player Darren McCormack who was rested after picking up a slight injury in pre-season training. Adams said: “Darren only joined us for training on Tuesday so it is too early to say if anything will happen contract wise.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba Net
