Paul Hartley is not content with enjoying the glow of promotion. He wants to improve and be prepare for the challenges of the Second Division.

Alloa Manager Paul Hartley has been busy since his side won promotion to the Second Division. He has re-signed most of the promotion winning squad and augmented them by adding Queen’s Park full back Darryl Meggatt just a few days after Annan striker David Cox signed a deal with the Recreation Park side.

Meggat joined the Spiders two years ago from amateur side South Camlachie and impressed Hartley with his displays against his team this season Hartley said: "I am delighted to bring Darryl to Alloa and we will give him a platform to continuing his progress in the game.

Like David Cox he always impressed against us and I am sure that he will add strength to the left hand side of our defence."
