All football needs sponsorship these days so well done to Scottish Womens Football to have another years support in the bag

Womens football in Scotland has been given a boost with the news that another year of sponsorship has been agreed with Hensons. Following on from the success of the 2011 Henson Projects Scottish Cup, Scottish Womans Football (SWF) have secured another one year sponsorship deal with Hensons for the Scottish Cup at Senior, 17, 15 and 13 – this season the trophy will be called The Henson Scottish Cup. Jim Patterson of Henson said:  "Our partnership was extremely successful last season and we look forward to building on that for season 2012. Women’s football is still one of the fastest growing sports and we are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious tournament". SWF Executive Administrator, Maureen McGonigle  said: "In this difficult economic climate is it heartening to find a company who are still keen to invest in sport. Working with Henson was a delight and we look forward to enhancing this partnership this year". The draw for the preliminary and first round of the Scottish Cup will be held in Hampden on Saturday 3rd September and will be open to all participating clubs to attend. SWF Fitba will be there to tweet the draw along with PSL Team Sports who will run a prize draw for a £1,000 voucher, which will be open to all clubs who attend. Goalkeeping suppliers Alert GK will also be on hand with the offer of a prize draw for a pair of goalkeeper gloves for each month of the 2012 season.
