Promotion to the First Division will bring some light to the end of the financial tunnel The Blue Brazil find themselves in Cowdenbeath manager Danny Lennon is pleased to have brought First Division football back to Central Park. The cash-strapped outfit triumphed in the First Division Play-off Final at Glebe Park thanks to Gareth Wardlaw's double and Joe Mbu's early opener. The Blue Brazil have hit severe financial problems under co-owners Alex and David Brewster and gaffer Lennon admits he had been lying awake at night fretting over their plight in the run-up to this crucial clash. He said: "I couldn't sleep all night Saturday because of the importance of the game. I'm just thrilled to bits for the players, fans, staff and owners of the club. It's very emotional. I've been thinking of it since Wednesday when we drew 0-0 in the first leg. It's been constantly on my mind and I've been waking up during the night. We've basically been fighting for the future of Cowdenbeath. I always knew our ambition was the play-offs. I'm disappointed we didn't win the league because when we came up from the Third Division we didn't fear anybody. Our brand of football has been excellent as well. I'm just hoping with the boys having done their bit, our fans do their bit at Central Park next season - we need them. I hope it's not a one-off. It's massive the fact we're up."
