No Luck For Hibs At Home Says Hart
Perhaps Hibs should not score so early and have to fight a bit longer. Michael Hart insisted Hibs players share the Easter Road fans' frustration at the winless home run which now stands at nine games. Hibs were held to a 1-1 draw on Saturday by Hamilton despite taking the lead early and were jeered off the pitch for a second successive week after failing to end a home barren streak which dates back to 6 March. Hart said: "I don't know about the fans, but I think the players are more desperate than them to get a home win. We want to play good football and win, but it's getting to the point where we just need to get any sort of win. We'll just keep playing football and hopefully the result will come. It's frustrating that we're getting a lead and throwing it away. We need to learn to take our chances when they come and at the other end we need to try and shut up shop. Hart went on: "We've just got to go and play the way we can play and we'll beat anyone. We probably need to play a little bit more sensibly and try to grind a result out. The main thing is that we're in the hat come the next round of the cup." Hamilton, already eliminated from the cup, play Kilmarnock at home next Saturday after taking their fourth point of the season. Marco Paixao made amends for giving the ball away to Riordan for the opener by scoring the equaliser after a strong run by Nigel Hasselbaink, nephew of former Holland international Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Marco Paixao said: "We played really, really well. Hamilton are growing up; we're showing to the people that we're strong. We have fast guys who create chances, we just need a bit of luck. It was a big mistake for my part but I came back and scored. The game changed completely, we started to dominate the game and almost scored again." The Portuguese forward shot wide under pressure from the Hibs defence soon after Nish's strike was ruled out as the opportunity for an away win was missed. But Marco Paixao expects Accies to trouble their SPL rivals this season. He added: "If we keep going like that I think we can damage a lot of teams in the SPL."
