No Gain Due To The Pain
Peter Weatherson is still out of action Striker Peter Weatherson has not been able to set a target date on the calendar for a return to first team action for Morton. He irritating the facet joint in his back and has not played since a Scottish Cup tie against Dumbarton on 20 November. The adverse weather has put paid to any thought of getting back in action quickly. He has managed some gym work and swimming but Weatherson had to give up on some running at training this week because of the pain.Weatherson said: "My injury has not fully healed yet and I do not want to risk making it worse by aggravating it further. I played with injuries before and it does not help you long term. I am not a 21-year-old kid any more but hopefully I will be back when we have a whole lot of re-arranged games to play."
