New Season, New Manager, New League

All bright new things for Cowdenbeath to take in tomorrow against Ross County Cowdenbeath's First Division campaign start with a home game against Ross County and that is where the good news stops for manager Jimmy Nicholl.  Joe Mbu, Dene Droudge and Jon Robertson will be missing from the squad thanks to injuries while Kenny Adamson will be unavailable due to suspension. Midfielder Danny MacKay will also be absent but Craig Winter should return after missing last weekend's disappointing 2-1 defeat to Clyde in The Co-operative Insurance Cup. The Blue Brazil are hoping that a deal to sign full-back Richard Vauls can be concluded in time for him to be considered for the game. Nicholl said: "I am looking for us to bounce back after a disappointing performance against Clyde. Ross County will be tough opponents but it is a terrific game to open up the season.'' Ross County manager Derek Adams is also without some players with  Stuart Kettlewell, Paul Lawson and Ian Vigurs all out due to bans. New signing Darren Smith will stay on the sidelines thanks to a hamstring problem and Adams is wary of facing newly-promoted Cowdenbeath despite their loss at Clyde last Saturday. Adams said: "It is their first game in this league and they will be out to show what they can do. I am not reading anything into the result last weekend as Clyde scored twice against us in a pre-season friendly and are not a bad side. Jimmy Nicholl will have his men out to bounce back quickly and we need to be ready for that.'' Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba Net
