Never Burn Your Bridges

It always pays to leave on good terms as you just never know when you may need that call from your ex-club

Queen of the South have brought back Paul Burns following his transfer deadline day release from Dunfermline. Midfielder Burns played in over 250 games for the Doonhamers before ending a nine year spell with them last summer when he moved to the SPL with the East End Park side. However, he has now returned to boost Player/Manager Allan Johnston’s squad. Johnston said: "Paul knows the club very well and will be a great addition to our squad." For his part Burns, who had featured only once as a substitute for the Pars this season in their 4-0 win at Cowdenbeath, said: "I glad I went and tried to make a go of it at Dunfermline as it was a chance to play SPL football. I do not regret it but a change of manager during my time there and a couple of injuries saw me play little football recently. I was released by them on the Friday and signed back on again at Queen’s on Saturday so I am delighted."
