Steve Lomas wants to keep the players he has and started the deal making early

Kevin Moon has agreed a new deal which will tie him to St Johnstone until 2013. The midfielder signed a short-term deal in the summer as he looked to prove his injury problems were behind him. However, he quickly did enough to convince Steve Lomas that he was worthy of a longer stay after the new manager took over in early November. Perth-born Moon, who has made 13 SPL starts this season, has a one-year option in his contract which will come into play if he plays a required number of games. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Zander Clark has extended his loan spell with Elgin City until the end of the season.
