The end of a promotion chance ended Andy Millen's time at Hampden Queen’s Park have released goalkeeper Peter Hamilton, midfielder Paul Harkins, the striking pair of Waleed Nadeem and Graeme Eaglesham along with veteran defender Andy Millen. The last named wants to get back into football on a full time basis and the club have agreed to let him go. Millen responded to a SOS from the Spiders in February to help them through an injury crisis. He ended up playing more than 20 games consecutively as Gardner Speirs side climbed the table and finished in a play-off place. However, the fairy-tale ended at the weekend when Albion Rovers ended hopes of promotionand Millen, who won the SFL Player of the Month for March, has not been re-signed for next season. Speirs said: "Andy is looking to get back into football at some level and hopefully that will be in a full time capacity for him. It will make it easier for that to happen for Andy if he is not signed to us. We really enjoyed having him at the club and Andy enjoyed being here where he made a huge positive impression on the youngsters we have in the dressing room."
