McNamara May Go For Two Trialists

With the start of the season approaching players on trial are doing their best to impress.

Jackie McNamara may be about to add Calum Butcher and Kudus Oyenuga to his Dundee United squad for the new season's challenges The pair started their careers at Spurs and played together with Hayes & Yeading United last season. McNamara, who has also handed trials to former St Mirren defender Graham Carey, Turkish winger Nadir Ciftci and former Norwich goalkeeper Lee Camp, welcomed his players back for the beginning of pre-season training at their base in St Andrews on Monday.The Dundee United manager said: "There are a lot of things still happening player-wise and hopefully by the end of this week we will have the right ones in. There are two lads here who have been with Spurs - Butcher and Oyenuga. I've watched them in a trial game. Both impressed us so we have moved to bring them here. Butcher is a centre-half and Oyenuga is a forward."
