McDonald Wants Back Up At The Back

All teams need to have players pushing each other for places.

Stirling Albion manager Greig McDonald is looking to keep Sam Filler on his toes to keep his number on jersey now that Callum Reidford has moved on from the relegated Second Division side. McDonald said: "I have offered a new deal to Sam and he knows that he has the chance of being our first choice if he stays and performs better than however we get in. I would like to bring a new goalkeeper in and have the two of them competing for the No 1 jersey. It will be a level playing field and whoever does best in pre-season training and friendly games will start the season."
