McDonald Makes Debut Against His Home Team

Kevin McDonald gets to play against to Toon! Newcastle born midfielder Kevin McDonald, who has been known as ‘Geordie’ throughout career in Scotland, went back to his roots at the weekend when Berwick Rangers welcomed Newcastle United to Shielfield. McDonald has played for Hibs, Clyde, Airdrie United and Alloa during his seven years of playing professional football.   McDonald made his debut as a fully qualified Berwick Rangers player against the Magpies reserves in a 2-1 friendly reverse with Borderers boss Jimmy Crease delighted to bring McDonald in. Crease said: "Kevin has played in a few games now as a trialist and I am delighted to get him on board officially for next season. He has settled in well to our midfield and I am sure he will do well."
