Lucas Looking Forward To Facing Scotland
Lucas Leiva hope he and his side can get back to winning ways against Scotland Lucas Leiva believes this weekend's international friendly against Scotland is "very important" to his side but admits that he is wary of returning to Liverpool and club manager Kenny Dalglish if the boys from Brazil win. The former Gremio midfielder has excelled since Dalglish returned to the club earlier this year Under Dalglish Liverpool have risen to sixth in the Barclays Premier League. Such form has seen Lucas keep his place in Mano Menezes' national side, which is reeling from recent defeats to France and bitter rivals Argentina. Ahead of Sunday's clash at the Emirates Lucas said: "It will be a very important game for us. We lost the last games so the pressure is a bit higher. But we have a good team and hopefully we will play a very good match. Hopefully we will play with confidence and I am sure we will have a big opportunity to win and be confident for the rest of the games." Speaking on Dalglish's reaction should Brazil beat Scotland, he added with a smile: "I don't think he will be happy. I think he is looking forward to the match as well and we were talking a little bit about the game. It is an important game for Scotland because they have a lot of respect for Brazil, but we know how difficult it will be because they have good players and play with more confidence. Hopefully we will have a very good match and win. That is the most important thing at the moment." Lucas has looked like a new player as part of Dalglish's new-look Liverpool side and admitted he is enjoying his football at Anfield. He said: "Kenny has been very good, not just for me but all the players and the fans. You know he is really important for the club so everything he does is just thinking in the club and the future of the club. He is doing really well and I think all the team, all the players, are enjoying their time with him."
