Best to keep on good terms with your former team as you may need their help one day

Craig Smith has returned to his former Junior side Ashfield to maintain fitness after he dropped out of Queen's Park's plans due to the emergence of Aidan Connolly and Lawrence Shankland. Pacey Smith has been at the Hampden club since 2010 and has played in nearly 70 games. However, he has not been involved since 15 December and both club and player agreed that a loan deal was the best way forward. Head coach Gardner Speirs said: "Craig has been part of our club for nearly three years now but he is disappointed at not having played much football recently. We do not have the biggest of squads so we want him to remain here and a loan move keeps him match sharp and available for the run in to the season."
