Jackie McNamara is looking to add firepower to his attack.

Ross County striker Steven Craig is getting the chance to follow in his father’s footsteps after agreeing to sign a loan deal with Partick Thistle until 28 January. Steven’s father Joe was a Firhill fans favourite where he played between 1972 to 1976 before joining Celtic for a reported £60,000 after scoring 67 goals for the Jags.Craig junior, who started his career at Falkirk, has played for Motherwell, Aberdeen, Dundee and Livingston before joining County in 2008 where he has scored 29 goals. One of the goals for the Dingwall men paved the way for the 2-0 Scottish Cup semi-final success in 2010 over Celtic.  A lengthy suspension last season following a red card against Livingston saw Craig drop down the pecking order in Dingwall and he had yet to play in a game this season. Thistle manager Jackie McNamara said: "I feel that we needed a bit more experience up front and Steven will help add that. He is very good in helping the ball to stick up front and he’ll help us keep possession of the ball."
