Levein Plays It Cagey

Craig Levein dd not want to give and team secrets away. Scotland manager, Craig Levein finally announced his team after the press conference at the Emirates. He wanted to tell the team first, which makes sense, but it did seem a tad childish when the Brazil Coach Mano Menezes was quite open to the media in naming his side at the conference. He did concede that Kenny Millar would be captain for the game. Millar said: "It is a massive honour. I said that the last time. It was a proud moment in my career and again, what better game than to captain my country than a game against Brazil. It means the world to me, as does playing for Scotland.  But to walk out with the armband on in a game like this means the world to me."  Talking about why Millar carries on with the armband, Levein said: "I am really pleased with the last game, Kenny's performance and the way he helped other players and how he led by example. So while Darren Fletcher is ill, I think it is only right after the last performance and the example he set, that Kenny continues to do the job." Scotland: McGregor (Rangers), Hutton (Tottenham Hotspur), G Caldwell (Wigan), Berra (Wolves), Crainey (Blackpool), Adam (Blackpool), Brown (Celtic), Morrison (West Brom), McArthur (Wigan Athletic), Whittaker (Rangers), Miller (Bursaspor)
