Levein Announces Squad For EURO2012 Games

No Garry O'Connor but Craig Levein thinks he has picked the right stuff

When Craig Levein woke up this morning he knew he would have to face the usual chore of meeting the media (first broadcast then written) today as he announced his squad for Scotland's final two qualifying group games for EURO2012. While the affable national manager got a relatively easy time of it, I am sure he could do without having to explain every last nuance of why this or that player is or is not on the list. The distractions of clubs football also get dragged in and Levein offered his views and tried to keep the focus on the international scene without being too rude to the questioner. The squad for the two games is as follows:

Charlie Adam (Liverpool)Barry Bannan (Aston Villa)Phil Bardsley (Sunderland)Christophe Berra (Wolves)Gary Caldwell (Wigan Athletic) Don Cowie (Cardiff City) Stephen Crainey (Blackpool) Graham Dorrans (West Bromwich Albion) Darren Fletcher (Manchester United) James Forrest (Celtic) Matt Gilks (Blackpool) David Goodwillie (Blackburn Rovers) Grant Hanley (Blackburn Rovers) Alan Hutton (Tottenham Hotspur) Craig Mackail-Smith (Brighton and Hove Albion) David Marshall (Cardiff City) Allan McGregor (Rangers) Stephen McManus (Middlesbrough) Kenny Miller (Cardiff City) James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) Steven Naismith (Rangers) Barry Robson (Middlesbrough) Robert Snodgrass (Leeds United) Danny Swanson (Dundee United) Steven Whittaker (Rangers)
