Scotland manager Craig Levein has added former Airdrie boss Kenny Black to his coaching staff ahead of the upcoming Euro 2012 qualification campaign.

The former Rangers and Hearts midfielder, who left Airdrie last month after their relegation from the Irn-Bru First Division, worked underneath Levein at Leicester City.

The 46-year-old will join Levein and Dundee United manager Peter Houston in the dugout for the friendly against Sweden on August 12.

Levein said: "I am delighted that Kenny is now on board for the campaign. I have known him for many years and he will bring plenty of coaching experience and enthusiasm.

"I'm sure he will be popular with the players and he will also complement my other assistant, Peter Houston."
