Let There Be Light!
Cowdenbeath have moved out of the dark ages with their new lighting system Cowdenbeath have completed the project to upgrade their floodlights to meet the demands of the SFA Club Licensing programme. They now have forty four new bulbs installed on the old pylons which increase the lux rating from their current level of 160 to 600. The new Central Park lights were due to be used for the first time in the Derby Match against Dunfermline at the end of November. The weather put paid to that plan and it looks like the big switch on will be when Queen of the South pay a visit on Sunday, 2 January 2 2011.A club spokesperson said: ”This major project has been jointly funded by our supporters Action Fund, investment from our new director Neil Fentie and grant assistance from the Scottish Football Partnership.
