Worrying time for Jamie Langfield but he appears to be back in the saddle Aberdeen are looking forward to seeing Jamie Langfield back in full training by September. The Scottish football community was shocked when the goalkeeper suffered a seizure a fortnight ago. He was evaluated for a couple of days at Glasgow's Southern General hospital before travelling south of the border to consult with, and get advice from, a top specialist to investigate the cause of the illness. The good news for Langfield and his family is that he has been told that the he has been given the all clear to resume his career. Pre-season for the Dons starts next week and Langfield will be reporting along with the rest of the squad. It is unlikely that he will be back in the first team before October at the earliest but has already been assured by manager Craig Brown that he is still regarded as the Dons' first-choice goalkeeper. A statement from the club said: "Aberdeen Football Club is pleased to confirm that keeper Jamie Langfield had a positive consultation with his specialist yesterday as he continues to recover from a seizure suffered earlier this month. Jamie will return to his specialist in a month for further routine checks and should then be given the green light to resume full training in September. Everyone at the club wishes Jamie all the best with his recovery and look forward to him returning with the rest of the squad for pre-season training next Thursday."
