Kenny Brannigan should be offered the permanent job at Palmerston says Gordon Chisholm Gordon Chisholm is sure that his erstwhile assistant Kenny Brannigan will be a success in his current role as caretaker manager of Queen of the South. Chisholm moved from the Doonhamers to replace Jocky Scott at Dens Park and is confident that the Palmerston club have the right man to replace him in Brannigan. Ironically the two sides came together in Chisholm's first game as Dundee manager on Tuesday night with Brannigan's Doonhamers hitting back with only ten men to draw 1-1. Chisholm said: “Queen of the South are a great club and I would imagine the job will be in great demand. I have only happy memories and worked closely with a very good Chairman in David Rae in taking them from a part-time to full time side as well as the Scottish Cup Final and Europe. There is a good squad of players there and Kenny has got the chance to stake a claim for it between now and the end of the season and I wish him well with it now that the games against Dundee are passed.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba.net)This is Scottish-Fitba.Net
