City got off to a quick start with Suzanne Lappin finding the net within 2 minutes. Lappin went on to score 4 first half goals and two penalty conversions by Leanne Ross, a double by Lisa Robertson and strikes from Danni Pagliarlulo, Nicky Docherty, Jo Love and Leanne Crichton sealed a very comfortable win for the reigning Champions.Lappin’s first goal of the game came with a trade mark header from a Leanne Ross corner. Less than 60 seconds later, City’s all time top goalscorer doubled her side’s lead as she side footed into the corner of the net after Ruesha Littlejohn set her up from a Nicky Docherty cross. City’s third came from the penalty spot with Leanne Ross converting after Nicky Docherty was adjudged to have been brought down in the box. Some sharp passing from the visitors created number four and in turn gave Lappin her hat-trick as she converted a fine City move. Lappin’s fouth goal of the game and her side’s fifth came on 37 minutes as Nicky Docherty delivered a fine cross into the Kilwinning box to meet the run of Lappin who headed past McGregor in the Kilwinning nets. Littlejohn and Jo Love both hit the cross bar before City made it 6-0 when centre half Danni Pagliarulo turned home a Leanne Ross corner kick at the near post. Eight minutes after the restart, Lisa Robertson made it 7-0 as she diverted a Pagliarulo shot into the back of the net. Jo Love was felled in the box on 56 minutes giving Ross the opportunity to score from the spot once more, which the City and Scotland star duly did to score her second of the match. Leanne Crichton finished from close range to make it 9-0 and an outstanding Love effort with the outside of her right foot from just inside the box, made it 10-0 to the visitors. Some good play from Nicky Docherty saw her create and finish a good move as she fired into the bottom corner to score City’s eleventh. The final goal of the game came with four minutes of normal time remaining as substitute Suzanne Malone burst past the Kiwlinning defence to release Robertson who fired past the outrushing McGregor to make the final score, Kilwinning 0 – 12 Glasgow City.Six goals in each half delighted City manager Eddie Wolecki Black. He said: "We are very happy with the performance as we have maybe been guilty this season of only playing for a half but I think we are beginning to get 90 minutes out of the team. This was shown by the fact that we managed to score 6 goals in each half, which was pleasing. The goals were also spread about the team, which was also great to see. Lauren Ray made her debut today from the Development team, which is excellent, especially considering she has come through our youth ranks for a number of years. We now prepare for a tough League Cup Semi-Final on Thursday against Forfar at Hill of Beath."City’s next game is on Thursday evening, when they face Forfar in the Premier League Cup Semi-Final at Keirs Park, Hill of Beath.
