Killie Job Not For Me Says Hassler

The delights of the SPL were not enough to attract a World Cup and European Championship-winning ex-player to Kilmarnock. Killie chairman Michael Johnston is still looking for a permanent replacement for Jim Jeffries after Thomas Hassler decided not to take his interest in the post any further. Germany's World Cup and European Championship-winning former midfielder had gone to the bother of visiting Rugby Park on Friday to talk with the Killie chairman. However, Cologne assistant coach Hassler has decided it is not for him. He said: "It's correct I have been to Scotland to talk to the club and it was an interesting option. I was happy to speak to them but I can say for sure our talks won't go any further."
