Keep Off The Grass

It may be tempting but Pars fans have been asked to stay in the stands on Saturday. Dunfermline fans have been asked not to encroach on the East End Park playing surface on Saturday as it may prevent their favourites being handed the First Division trophy on the pitch. Last week's win over Morton sealed the title and was the signal for an invasion to celebrate with Jim McIntyre’s men. Dunfermline are due to be presented with the First Division trophy this weekend by SFL Chief Executive David Longmuir. However, safety comes first and the presentation could be cancelled if the fans don't behave. East End Park stadium manager and safety officer Kenny Arnott said: “After events last week at Cappielow Park we would like to advise fans that we do not want a repeat of the pitch invasion. If it does happen we may be forced to cancel the trophy presentation in the interest of public safety of both Dunfermline and Falkirk fans.”
