Keep A Winning Team Together

Is a team good enough to win the Third Division good enough to stay together? Arbroath manager Paul Sheerin is working hard to hang onto the players which helped them gain promotion into the Second Division. He has persuaded striker Steven Doris to agree a new deal with the club after a successful season where he scored 16 goals. Gayfield manager Sheerin is still in talks with three other prominent members of last season’s squad and remains hopeful that they will sign up as well. He said: “We spoke to the squad at the end of the campaign and got most of them to sign on again. We would like to keep Gavin Swankie and Josh Falkingham as well, but there is interest from elsewhere however, we still have a chance of getting Ross Chisholm back on board.”
