He said: "I'm very happy to sign this new contract with Celtic. I came to Celtic last season and I've enjoyed it very much. I feel at home here and I want to be at the club for a long time. The fans have been magnificent and I want to thank them all for their support. I will do everything for the club and the manager to achieve success. It was the manager who wanted me here and I want to achieve things for him, the club and all our supporters." Kayal has made 40 appearances for Celtic, scoring two goals, and was one of their key players last season despite missing many games due to injury. He missed games during a three-month spell early in the season but had already made a positive impact and quickly found top form after returning on Boxing Day. Kayal was linked with moves to the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool as his run in the team coincided with Celtic's best spell of the season.
