SFA Youth Cup holders Hibs fail to defend their trophy well enough at the quarter-final stage. Hibs' reign as SFA Youth Cup holders ended on Sunday, when Livingston knocked them out 1-0 at the quarter-final stage. The Jacobs brothers were the undoing of the Edinburgh side as Devon set up brother Kyle to head the winner just before half time at the Hibs training ground. It may have been a bitter sweet win for former Hibs defender Brian Welsh who is now the Livingston Youth coach. Celtic made it through to the semi-final stage with young Czech player Filip Twardzik scoring the winner in a gripping 5-4 win over Dundee United at Tannadice. The Glasgow side were 4-1 down in the second half before rallying with Twardzik scoring an 88th minute winner. James Forrest with a double, Greig Spence and Sean Fitzharris scored the other goals for Celtic. Rangers saw off Hearts with a 2-0 win at Tynecastle with Kane Hemmings and Polish defender Kamil Wiktorski scoring. The fourth quarter-final between Airdrie United and St Mirren was postponed.
