Losing one player to surgery is bad enough but losing two is just careless!

Queen of the South have been hit with another injury blow with Kevin Smith becoming the second striker in less than a week to be told that he needs surgery before he can play again. Just days after hearing that Marc McCusker’s season looks to be over as he faces hip surgery, Palmerston Park manager Gus McPherson was hit with the news that former Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Notts County front man Smith requires a hernia operation.McPherson said: "Kevin will be getting operated on soon and we are hoping he will be back for the run in to the season. It is disappointing for both players and us but thankfully we got Sam Parkin in at a really good time."
