Inverness Set New Traget

While a top six finish is not to be, Inverness aim to be seventh Terry Butcher wants to add another scalp to his Inverness side trophies for the season by beating Hearts this weekend. Caley Thistle have confounded those that condemed them to a return to the First Division by extending their unbeaten away run for a full calendar year and taking up a place in the top six for much of the season. However, the Highland side's form has tailed off of late and they are now unable to claim a place in the top half of the table. Speaking ahead of Inverness' last game before the split, against Hearts,  Butcher said: "We've beaten every team, apart from Hearts, outside the Old Firm. That's something we want to put right - we won't meet them again after this."  Butcher is proud of his players' performances this term after winning promotion to the top flight last season and hopes to finish with a flourish by being the best of the rest. He went on: "We just can't believe we've come so far in such a short space of time. We had an incredible season last season and we've carried it on this season. We want to finish as high as we can - seventh is a target for us. We want to win every game we can and get to that position - that's our target. We want to win games, we want to pick up points, we want to crack on and see where that takes us."
