Inverness midfielder Andrew Shinnie has been handed his Scotland debut in Wednesday night's friendly in Luxembourg.

The former Rangers trainee, who has six Clydesdale Bank Premier League goals and five assists this season, was drafted into the squad on Sunday following nine call-offs. Caretaker manager Billy Stark has named both Kenny Miller and Jordan Rhodes in his starting line-up, suggesting he will break with sacked boss Craig Levein's recent convention and employ a 4-4-2 formation.

Matt Gilks starts in goal in the absence of Allan McGregor while Blackburn's Grant Hanley lines up in a back four also featuring Steven Whittaker, Paul Dixon and Christophe Berra. Darren Fletcher, Charlie Mulgrew and Steven Naismith join Shinnie in midfield.

The Scottish Football Association named the team on their official Twitter account six hours before kick-off.
