Age is not a barrier as far as talented player from Dumbarton's youth development programme are concerned Dumbarton’s youth development programme has produced another player who has made it into the first team squad. Six foot four inch centre back Liam Mushet is just 17 years of age but has been promoted to the Sons’ first team squad after successful appearances in pre-season friendlies against Annan, Oxford United and Queen’s Park.Sons of the Rock manager Jim Chapman said: "Liam was one of the three Dumbarton players who featured in the Scottish Schools team last season and he is a bright prospect."
