You can just tell by looking at Terry Butcher that he is not a man that likes losing. His Inverness side travelled to Easter Road yesterday and lost to Hearts on penalties in the first of the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-finals. Disappointment oozed from every pour when Butcher met the press after the game. The team from the Highlands were beaten 5-4 on penalties by Hearts at Easter Road after being tied at 1-1 through extra time. The Highland side had taken the lead thanks to Andrew Shinnie just after half-time, with Hearts new recruit Michael Ngoo equalising 17 minutes later. Hearts were reduced to 10 men 13 minutes from the end of normal time, losing Scott Robinson to a red card.

It's an unusual feeling because we haven't lost for ages. It still hurts though. I think a fire extinguisher went missing off the wall when I came in. I don't like losing. I said to the players I don't want to have this feeling again for the rest of the season. We have had a right kick in the privates and we have to bounce back. We just have to move on and make sure we come back even stronger and more positive."
