First impressions can last but Alejandro Bedoya promises to get better Alejandro Bedoya made his debut for Rangers on Sunday while still not 100% fit. He hopes to show the Rangers fans that he has a lot more to offer once he gets back to full fitness. The United States international was given a run out for the last 20 minutes of Sunday's 2-0 win over Aberdeen. But the midfielder revealed he has been struggling with illness all week and was even spitting up blood during his time in the action at Ibrox. However, Bedoya has no major worries about his health and has set his sights on producing a better performance next time. He said: "I've been under the weather the whole week so it's been tough. I don't know if it was the change in weather or the travelling. I was a little winded at the end, I was feeling it in my throat and my lungs, but I was just happy to get out there. During the game I was a bit tired and winded and spitting up blood. I guess there is a lot of congestion in there but I'll be fine. Hopefully I will be all right with some antibiotics. I got into some good spots and had a couple of half chances but hopefully I can do better next time. I enjoyed it, we got the win and that was a good thing. I got a great reception from the crowd and it was fun to get out there and play." The win slightly softened the blow of bowing out of Europe at the hands of Maribor and Bedoya insists Rangers must now focus fully on SPL business, rather than dwell on what might have been. He said: "When I signed for Rangers my first thought was playing in Europe, it was a big attraction for me. But we can't look to the past now. We just have to make sure we finish at the top of the league, where we are now, and have another shot next year." Dons defender Richard Foster - who was on loan at Rangers last season - insists Aberdeen must start picking up the results to go with their performances. He said: "We did really well in the second half, we created chances and I should have scored but it wasn't to be. We can take heart from the performance. Nothing was expected of us coming here. We were playing the champions and there was no pressure on us. Towards the end of the game, I thought we were the stronger side. But it's only so long that we can keep saying that we played well but we got beat. Eventually we are going to have to start winning games."
