Gordon Chisolm meets his old club on day one of the new season. Mickael Antoine-Curier has returned from compassionate leave to be available for the Dundee squad as they welcome Queen of the South for the first game of the season. On-loan and former Doonhamer Jamie Adams will not be playing against his old club as he is suspended and defensive summer signing Dominic Shimmin is still unavailable due to injury. Manager Gordon Chisholm is looking forward to seeing pacy frontman Antoine-Curier in action, saying: "Mickael returned to training on Thursday and it is good to have him available to the squad. We are still a couple of bodies light and I am working on that every day just now. This will be a hard game against a team that I know and respect well and who will be out to win here.'' Queen of the South boss Kenny Brannigan has been critical of his board as they strive to control costs. He is unable to bring in players and will be travelling north without four players. Winger Willie McLaren is suspended and injuries have ruled out defender Derek Lilley and front men Allan Johnstone and Sean O'Connor. However, goalkeeper David Hutton will be available after injury. Brannigan said: "I am looking to get a new signing on board as we are down to only nine fit outfield players.''
