City coaching staff made only one change from the side which beat Spartans midweek in the Premier League Cup Final, with Jo Love rested on the bench and Ciara Barnes coming in to the starting line-up.

Many teams in the past have struggled after Cup Final victories but City showed no signs of exhaustion or lack of focus as they simply pushed Hutchison Vale aside for the entire game. After scoring in the final only a few days earlier, Emma Mitchell found the route to goal once more, after only 5 minutes on the clock. Lisa Evans was brought down at the edge of the box and Leanne Ross hit the resultant set piece on target, which the keeper could only parry, allowing Mitchell to latch on to the loose ball before thrashing it into the back of the net. Four minutes later and a great defence splitting pass up the right hand side from Leanne Ross, saw City play the ball into 18 yard box to Ciara Barnes who fired home from 10 yards out. Barnes then soon made it 3-0. Leanne Ross was fouled 20 yards from goal. The midfielder dusted herself down before hitting the free kick to Ciara Barnes who slotted it past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0 to City. On 19 minutes, some great link up play with Lisa Evans and Emma Mitchell, saw Evans eventually cut the ball back to Jane Ross for an easy tap in. Soon after and City found the net again. Captain Rachel Corsie dinked a lovely ball from just inside her own half to Evans and the young striker drove towards goal before slotting past the diving keeper. n 23 minutes, City scored an almost identical goal to make it 6-0. Corsie once more set a team mate free, and this time it was Leanne Ross who chipped the advancing goalkeeper to score her first of the game. Just before the interval and close interplay in the box between City’s front three eventually resulted in Evans being brought down for a penalty, which Leanne Ross stepped up to convert.  Before the referee could blow the half time whistle, City were 8-0 up. Leanne Ross played in Lisa Evans, who drove past defender and fired the ball across the area for Emma Mitchell to hit the back of the net. Half time 8-0 Two minutes after the restart, the City defence played a long diagonal ball to Lisa Evans who in turn set up Emma Mitchell to score the first hat-trick of the game. Leanne Ross made it 10-0. Combining well with substitute Julie Melrose, who came on for Jane Ross at half time, the midfielder found herself with only the keeper to beat and slotted home into the bottom left hand corner. With fifteen minutes remaining some great play involving Evans, Mitchell and Jo Love, resulted in Mitchell finding the back of the net to score her fourth of the day. Moments later full back Nicky Docherty played in Evans, who went all the way to goal to beat the keeper at her far post. The fans were then treated to the goal of the game. Leanne Crichton played the ball to Mitchell who was on the right hand side and she then played an inch perfect pass to find the brilliant run of Jo Love who had set off from the half way line. Love then collected the ball and fired home from the edge of the box. Good play between Love and Evans, set Evans off on a run on the left hand side before she slipped the ball into the path of Leanne Ross who scored from 6 yards out to make it 14-0. With five minutes left on the clock City made it 15-0 with another outstanding goal. Nicky Docherty played in Lisa Evans up the left who was 15 yards into the opposition half. The talented striker then went on an individual run, beating three defenders before firing into the back of the net to round off an impressive display of goalscoring from the reigning Champions. Commenting on the victory, Glasgow City head coach, Eddie Wolecki Black said: "I am obviously delighted. We passed the ball really well and controlled the game from start to finish. Fair play to Hutchison Vale as they kept trying to play, which is a great credit to them. It was good to have a clean sheet, but the most important thing is three points so we are really happy. We will now prepare again, this time for the visit of Hamilton Accies on Wednesday."
