Ayrshire's Hurlford Thistle are the winners of the 2012 Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup as Livingston FC holds a double header this weekend

Auchinleck Talbot fly the flag for Ayrshire against Shotts Bon Accord in the Scottish Junior Cup final at Livi on Sunday 27th May but Burns country is celebrating tonight (26th May) as Hurlford Thistle see off Motherwell's Colville Park in the SAFA Cup final. Second half goals from Michael Mullen and Ryan Caddis saw the squad made up almost entirely by Kilmarnock residents win 2-0 in front of an enthusiastic Thistle support at Livingston. Hurlford Thistle bossed the first half but finally broke the deadlock at the start of the second when centre forward Mullen shot low into the right hand corner of the net from 20 yards. Caddis clinched the victory with a cheeky free kick, shooting when everyone expected a cross from the edge of the 18 yard box, and there was to be no way back for the Lanarkshire side who had Alan Litster sent off late on for a wild tackle. Thistle's Joe Gold was Man of the Match and Thistle lifted the trophy watched on the internet by a Thistle committee member and his wife who had gone to Monaco for their Wedding Anniversary and the Monaco Grand Prix. Edinburgh company Ifdnrg supplied the exclusive feed of the game and even commentary for the couple's special day which in turn became the village of Hurlford's special day. It was an enjoyable final with both teams giving 100 per cent but the old trophy goes back to Hurlford bedecked in yellow and blue.
