Hope Sproules Eternal

Is is a good idea to return to a club and try to re-kindle the love affair? Former Hibs winger Ivan Sproule has been told he will have to find a new club as Bristol City are going to let his contract lapse. The Robins are looking to down-size their squad and as Sproule is out on loan to League One Yeovil he would have seen the writing on the wall regarding his future. Sproule would not be against a return to Hibs, the club he helped win the CIS Insurance Cup in 2007. He said: "I knew if I was going to leave Bristol City this was always going to come up, Everyone knows Hibs are a club that will always be close to my heart. They gave me a chance in football, made my career. I've very fond memories of my time in Edinburgh. Everyone at the club made us welcome, I always gave 100 per cent when I played and I was lucky enough to be in a team which won something. I've never hidden my love for the club or the fact I am a Hibs supporter. You never know where you are going to end up in football but I will always be grateful to Hibs. It wouldn't rule out moving back to Easter Road but that's in the hands of others, not mine. I still feel I have a lot to offer but for the moment I'm simply concentrating on getting myself as fit as I can for January."
